ABOUT THIS 3D FIGURINE

Superman is the world’s most famous and seemingly omnipotent superhero. Once his home planet Krypton was destroyed, the extraterrestrial infant named Kal-El was sent to Earth where he was raised as Clark Kent. ADAPTATION FOR 3D PRINTING

Superman Bust for 3D printing is a static assembly figurine and its moderation and adaptation for different types of 3D printers took Gambody team 18 hours in total. The accent of the moderation process was made on the figurine’s anatomy review. Both fundamental and advanced body and face proportions rules were taken into account for Superman Bust to be depicted harmoniously in the intended placid state. The model’s cutting in its assembly version was chosen by our team to minimise the amount of filament needed for generated support and some of the parts were hollowed out for you to save resin in the bust’s Eco version. All the assembly parts are provided in STL files in recommended positions that were worked out so to ensure the smoothness of the details’ surfaces after printing and that the 3D printing beginners won’t face difficulties when placing the parts on a build plate.

The figurine is saved in STL files, a format supported by most 3D printers. All STL files for 3D printing have been checked in Netfabb and no errors were shown.

The model’s scale was calculated from Superman’s actual height that is 1850 mm. The 3D printing figurine’s chosen scale is 1/3 for the FFF/FDM version and 1/6 for the DLP/SLA/SLS versions.

FFF/FDM 1.0 version features:
– Contains 4 parts;
– A printed model is 242 mm tall, 148 mm wide, 117 mm deep;
– Assembly kit includes one lock 4_ge_lock_10H(x3) to attach the parts of the bust securely without glue that needs to be printed 3 times;
– All parts are divided in such a way that you will print them with the smallest number of support structures.

DLP/SLA/SLS 1.0 version features:
– Contains 1 part;
– A printed model is 121 mm tall, 74 mm wide, 59 mm deep;

DLP/SLA/SLS Eco 1.0 version features:
– Contains 1 part;
– A printed model is 121 mm tall, 74 mm wide, 59 mm deep;
– Contains some hollowed out parts to save resin.
